A hot tub is a wonderful retreat for health and wellbeing and can be a fun and sociable experience and hiring out one for a party should be a fabulous experience.  Before hiring any equipment, check that the company is reputable and know what they are doing, in terms of safety and water treatment advice.

Using a company in BISHTA membership will mean that they will have received water hygiene management training and have agreed to work to industry standards and to abide by a Code of Ethics.  Verify that the hot tub is inspected by the hire company to ensure that it is fit for purpose.  Also, check the cleaning and water hygiene management regime to ensure the hot tub is sanitised (to BISHTA recommended standards) before delivery. On delivery, the hire company is responsible for ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the hirer (customer) and other users are not exposed to risks to their Health and Safety at the point of hire. The hirer (customer) should be given sufficient instruction to enable them to use the hot tub safely. Therefore, after set-up by the hire company at the delivery address, the hot tub will be connected to a sufficient electrical source (where applicable), filled with water by the hire company and water treatment chemicals added and the hot tub tested. Following full set-up, instruction for use should be given to the hirer (customer) by the hire company, providing any top-up chemicals required with instruction for the hire period. If is any doubt about the credibility of a hire company, or to check whether they are BISHTA members) please visit the website at www.bishta.co.uk or phone the office on 01264 356211.
